Stephen - Chair of Trustees

Stephen lived and worked in Kenya for more than 20 years, mainly with the Anglican Church as a CMS Mission Partner. He worked with the community development teams in Dioceses enabling grass roots communities to improve their sustainable agriculture and local water supply and sanitation. Stephen knew of REAP during this time and did some work with Dr Roger Sharland. Returning to UK in 2025 he continued to work for CMS as their Regional Manger for Africa, and wanted to stay in touch with African community empowerment- hence joining REAP as a Trustee in 1999.

Judith Wahinya-Glover - Treasurer

Judi, as she is better known, is currently based in Nairobi although Judi has spent time in the United Kingdom (UK).
More importantly Judi knows Roger Sharland very well and is a keen supporter of REAP activities in Kenya. Indeed, you may have seen Judi raising money for REAP through her sponsored run in the Nairobi half Marathon. Judi used the Just Giving platform to raise sponsorship monies for REAP.

Nicky Simpson - Trustee

Nicky Simpson - Secretary

Nicky has known Roger and Jos and their family for some time, as she has been a member of Greyfriars Church in Reading for over 30 years, and the 3 of them are all now part of the same bible study group, even when the Sharlands are in Kenya, through the wonders of Zoom!
Roger has regularly shared inspirational stories of REAP's work and how it can help people with practical guidance and training and she feels privileged to be able to support REAP by being a Trustee.
She works for Reading Borough Council in Committee Administration, where she has been for even longer than she has been at Greyfriars!
