It is with great sadness that we announce that Anne Sigei, the REAP administrator, is no longer with us. On the morning of Sunday 30th July 2023 she collapsed on the way to breakfast and died before reaching hospital.
Anne has been with REAP right from the beginning and has been the strength of the Nairobi office, first of all in helping to establish REAP about 28 years ago and faithfully maintaining efficient administration, whether in the day to day activities from the office or organising seminars or organising events like the participation in the Kisumu ASK Show.
She was in Kisumu with the REAP team for the Kisumu Show last week where REAP had a stand and Anne with the rest of the team rejoiced on the five awards the stand received during the show.
She was so happy on Saturday together with her colleagues and went to bed on Saturday evening rejoicing, She rose on Sunday morning prepared for another day at the show and was taken so suddenly from us, to pass on to her heavenly reward.
She will be greatly missed by all her colleagues and by the many who have passed through the REAP office or REAP training events. Her smile and her spirit of service will be remembered by us all. We give thanks to God for Anne’s faithful service to REAP and to God and all that she has contributed to make REAP what it is today.
